This one made the list for a couple reasons. First being that is the whisky Carin requested after she vanquished the evil from a past life. The second, this is a great example of what peated Scotch whisky can provide. In my youth, peat or smoke flavor, which comes with this whisky, would have reminded me of eating a campfire log. Today, this is a go to whisky for almost any occasion.

There are plenty of great peated scotches out there but this one is at a lower proof, 43% and fairly young at 8 years. I have found the older peated scotches lose that smoke flavor the older they get. This should be a perfect whisky for these colder days, especially around a fire. This pour is dedicated to Carin, so Bo you may have to share some, I owe my peated scotch renaissance to you. I will always have a bottle of this in my collection. Cheers
